About Railwolf:

NOTE:  I’m aware that there are at least two other people using the name Railwolf. So if you’re looking for the Railwolf from deviantART or the RailWolf who plays Quake; that’s not me.

Now, about me: I’m a 29 year old writer / poet / musician. I live in Ottawa, the capital of Canada… not in an Igloo, in a very warm lair.

I’m laconic, which means that I usually don’t say much, whether I like someone or not.
If I’m quiet, it’s not because I don’t like you. People I dislike usually end up in my dungeon, to be tortured with hours and hours of videos of trains…

I never get bored. I’m always up to something with this creative mind of mine.

One of my passions, besides computers, is the electric guitar and bass. I have several guitars, effects pedals, amps, etc.
I’m not your typical rock guitarist. I’m not a big fan of cigarettes, drugs, piercings, or tattoos (especially on girls).
It might be a bit strange to like both suits and skulls, but I do. I hope to someday record a full-length rock album.

And as you could probably guess, I like trains. I have an HO scale model railroad layout, which I’m still working on. I was looking forward to the next version of Microsoft’s Train Simulator, but Microsoft foolishly shut down their game development studios, so there won’t be any more versions of that.

I also enjoy watching movies, especially action movies. You can see my collection of DVDs in the Now Playing section, and well as my collection of music CDs. Rock is my life, and I don’t really listen to anything other than that.

I started Railwolf.com on August 5th, 2000.  So that was 10 years ago, a pretty long time for a website.

It took me a while to get the site design finished, since I focused most of my efforts on the Wolf Photo and Now Playing projects for my now defunct Railwolf Labs PHP scripting website.
Once it was finished, I uploaded the original Railwolf.com site design on March 10th, 2004.

As of April 1st, 2009, I now run WordPress, with my own theme — which I made myself to somewhat resemble the original website design. Previously, the site ran my own custom PHP scripts, including the blog script that used posts from my forums.

Actually, there are two web servers, but I’m only using the old one for my internal scripting projects now, such as the Now Playing script. More information about it can be found here.
